Research Program Manager
Byron began his clinical research career as a research assistant at the New York State Psychiatric Institute.
He further worked in a neuroscience-focused experiential design studio as the lead research coordinator at Columbia University.
In the lab, Byron works as the research program manager where he manages recruitment of study participants, clinical data and sample collection,
and overall project management of studies investigating the causes and underlying mechanisms of neurodevelopmental disorders.
Associate Researcher
Lea earned a master of science degree in Biomedical Sciences from the Maastricht University, the Netherlands. Her journey in the lab began as a Research Scholar where she wrote her master's thesis focused on using long read RNA sequencing
to discover novel isoforms in risk genes for neuropsychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs), and she is currently an Associate Researcher. In the lab she is responsable for Nanopore sequencing of brain tissue, processing various types of
biospecimens and coordinating DNA/RNA sequencing in general. Moreover, Lea uses bioinformatic tools to analyze microarray SNP data for copy number variation detection in NDDs.

Yoav earned a doctoral degree in developmental neurobiology from The Hebrew University in Jerusalem, Israel.
He then completed his postdoctoral training in the Dept. of Genetics and Genomic Sciences at Mount Sinai.
In the lab, Dr. Hadas is working to unravel the role of novel RNA molecules in the human brain and their impact in neuropsychiatric disorders. To do so, Yoav uses various bioinformatics tools to analyze
full-length RNA sequencing data at the tissue and single-cell levels.
